- The Coalition will fund financial literacy advisers who will assist young Australians with financial advice.

This request relates to the Australian Defence Technical Colleges element of the Coalition’s Securing Australia: Skills for Australia’s Future Defence policy. The policy intends to ensure that Australia has a highly skilled defence sector to implement the Defence Capability Plan.

These policies outline initiatives:
- This policy outlines the Coalition’s plan to expand the Practice Nurse Incentive programme to all general practices in all geographical areas and to introduce a new Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) practice nurse home visits item for patients aged 65 and over, veterans and younger patients deemed by their GP to be frail or ill.
- The Coalition will expand the number of training positions in the Expanding Settings Specialist Training Programme (ESSTP) by 50 places in 2009, 100 places in 2010 and 150 places in 2011 and each year thereafter.
- The Coalition will expand the number of GP registrar training places for medical graduates by 100 places each year for three years. In addition it will increase the Prevocational General Practice Placements Programme (PGPPP) by 130 places in 2009, 180 places in 2010 and 230 places in 2011 and each year thereafter.
